So Many Questions -- Part II
Mood:  rushed
Topic: Hearing from the Master

Here I am. Rushed again!

My time ran out on the computer earlier and I didn't really have my thoughts together on what I should write today.

I mentioned an open door in the ministry in the area of encouragement. There are actually open doors in the area of street ministry in general here in this city for me. And I could continue in the area of street ministry I love so much -- soul talk -- simply talking to people and finding out where they are at in life, and then offering them the gospel of Jesus Christ.

There are many adjustments and preparations to make before I continue in this, though. Adjustments for being hurled into a different life style against my preferences. Preparations to make the best of my current situation. The bible states that to sharpen an axe before chopping wood is to save a lot of time and effort. This is my perspective on things.

Since I do plan to make the most of the mess I have found myself in, I need to take time to prepare. This city has so much to offer -- and I intend to take advantage of everything I can that is lovely, pure, and of a good report which will help me become a better person despite recent tragedies -- so that my God can get the glory.

I refuse to be defeated. Yes. I did wallow the first few weeks of this turmoil in anger, grief, and unforgiveness. My God through his Son, Jesus Christ has taken me to different levels of forgiveness over the years. But some things are still difficult to forgive immediately. And at the time I was still going through the hottest part, the initial part of this trial.

Now, though, I am thankful that I have resigned myself through the grace of Jesus Christ to accept the circumstances and the location (far from everything I know and love) I have found myself in.

I mean, this is where I am now. And though I detested living here in the beginning, I am finding I have some of the greatest advantages and opportunities in the world where I am now. There are some of the greatest opportunities for ministry here. And some of the greatest opportunities to advance myself in the fine arts I love to experience and to create.

Some of the finest libraries, information, and learning centers are here in this city. And some of the greatest ministries and churches.

So, I say, "Thank you, Lord! Thank you for where I am at this time of my life in the here and now. Just lead the way." The Word says we should be thankful in all things. I guess that is my second word from the Lord for today.
